Corned Beef & Potato Hash (No Added Salt) | Ginisang Karne Norte at Patatas (Walang Dagdag na Asin)

This breakfast recipe is inexpensive, quick and easy to make.💝
And just like any processed food, the canned corned beef has already salt (sodium); so, to our taste buds there is no need to add any.  But hey, feel free to season it with salt according to your taste!
Also, this is one of my hubby's favorite breakfast dishes.  According to him, it is as much on the texture (long beef strands) as it is on the flavor!

Ingredients:
380g canned corned beef
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 small to medium size potatoes, diced
6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 medium size onion, sliced
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:
1. In a large pan over medium heat, pre-heat the cooking oil. Fry the potatoes until they turn slightly brown. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté until it starts to turn brown.  Next, add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn a bit soft.
3. Add the corned beef.  Followed by the ground black pepper.  Mix well. Turn the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. When the sauce subsides a bit, return the cooked potatoes into the pan. Carefully mix the ingredients to incorporate the taste to the potatoes.
5. Continue to simmer depending on how dry you want this dish.
6. Once you are satisfied as to how much sauce or dryness of the mixture, turn off the heat.
7. Lastly, sprinkle it with chopped parsley - - - not only it brightens the look of the food but brightens the flavor as well.

Best serve with warm rice (plain or fried) 🍚, or newly baked “pandesal” (a common Philippine bread similar to a dinner roll) 🍞.
